If chosen right, accessories can really really boost your pictures.
Let’s start with jewelry. The jewelry that is closest to your face is the most important because they show up the most in pictures. I’m talking earrings and necklaces. Whenever you can, incorporate large dangling earrings that really stand out in your pictures. If you prefer to downplay the earrings, still wear shiny studs or simple hoops. Try to get a matching necklace or a cute choker to go with the earrings.

Bracelets, rings, anklets are all great additions too. For bracelets, it looks really nice if you wear multiple and mix & match several different types like Alex & Ani, friendship bracelets, and thin bangles. You can also go more casual by wearing something as simple as a scrunchie or more classy like a watch. Rings add to the dimension of your pictures in close-ups and photos where your hand is near your face. You can go clunky, simple, and wear multiple if you look! Other things to consider are belts, handbags, purses, umbrellas.

I also suggest bringing a hat because they make the pictures really fun and allow for a lot of unique poses playing with the sunlight. You could bring a floppy hat, baseball cap, fedora, or beanie. Headbands and bows can also really add to your pictures if they complement your outfit well.

Also, bring your trendy glasses and cool shades to play with in the pictures!

Another thing to consider is nails! I have found that neutral nails look the best in pictures. You should opt to go with light pastel colors that complement your outfit, French (if you’re wearing multiple outfits that are different colors), or even natural nails. A big no-no is chipped nails or leftover nail polish- which can really ruin the pictures.
Finally, makeup! You can opt to get it done professionally or at home. I would really suggest that you consider getting it done professionally just because during the shoot, the focus is going to be COMPLETELY on your face. However, if you do do it at home, I definitely suggest going heavier than usual. Make sure to conceal the spots that make you feel uncomfortable and contour & highlight. Highlighter is especially important ladies- it really really shows during golden hour and makes your face sparkle.
Things to remember:
Eyeliner, mascara
FAKE LASHES (make a huge difference)
Eyebrow gel
Blush
Colorful lipstick and gloss
THIS MATTERS SO MUCH! Bright reds and pinks or dark purples really really show in pictures. You can even bring some different lipstick shades with you to change it up in between outfits and add variety to your pictures. You’ll definitely need to bring some to touch up in between shots.

Finally, hair! Loose always looks the best. It can give really flattering photos if you’re moving around and spinning. Add some curls or waves to give more dimension to the photos and help you feel special! You can also do buns or braids for certain outfits to mix it up.
